Mom Cherí and her five pups were abandoned on the dirt roads of Perris, California, left to fend for themselves. When she first appeared, she was pregnant and injured, her eye bleeding from a likely BB gunshot. Despite the hardships, she gave birth alone on a wooden pallet, keeping her babies safe in the harsh outdoors.

A property owner had planned to let the puppies die, but his children intervened and advocated for their lives, sparking a rescue effort. The Beagle Freedom Project transported Mom Cherí, Coco, Renzo, Eloise, Amelie, and Madeline to their Los Angeles headquarters, where they are now healthy and thriving. The team is actively searching for forever homes for this sweet family, who would love to find a new home with another loving pup.
